What is Induction?- Induction is electric. It has nothing to do with magnets.
- Induction does not interfere with pacemakers and conforms to FCC CFR 47, Part 18.
- Induction is power - both High and Low. Induction provides more cooking power than the most powerful professional gas range you can buy for your home.
- Induction is green. Induction cooking is by far-and-away the most efficient means of cooking there is today. 85 to 90% of the energy you pay for goes directly into heating the food, compared to roughly 40% for gas appliances. This means less wasted energy and more energy savings.
How much power does induction have? How does it stack up against a professional-style gas burner? As an example, here are the times (min:sec) for 2 qts. of 70° water to achieve a rolling boil in identical pans, with no lids.

How low will the induction power go? On Diva Induction's lowest power setting, chocolate will merely break a sweat - it will hold that sweat for hours and the chocolate will never burn.
All induction cooktops, including Diva Induction, have what is called "power sharing" meaning that two paired burners share one generator. On other induction cooktops, if you want the maximum amount of power on one of those two burners, the partner burner has to loan some, and in some cases ALL, of its power to the "boosted" burner. At Shady Oak Distributing we prefer to call this arrangement "power lending".
Diva Induction is different and has true "power sharing" capabilities because you can use both of the shared burners at the same time and each of them will have diminished but equal power (up to setting 11 of 12). You have two useful burners instead of one.
The DIVA-365 Induction Range. The first, and only 5 burner, 36" wide, freestanding induction range in North America. Featuring a unique stainless steel oven cavity that is self-cleaning, "pure" convection, will hold temperature to within + or - 2° and will heat to 350° in just under 8 minutes. You have to see it to believe it.
The Diva DDP-2. 12" wide, black, 2-burner induction cooktop. This cooktop can deliver well over 30,000 BTU's of cooking power. It can be used indoors or on a covered patio beside your BBQ grill.
The Diva DDP-3. 24" wide, black, 3-burner induction cooktop. This cooktop can deliver well over 55,000 BTU's of cooking power. The design accommodates larger cookware on a smaller cooktop for consumers with limited space. The DDP-3 is also perfect for consumers wanting to utilize two or more cooktops in their cooking area.
The Diva DDP-4. 31-1/8" wide, black OR white, 4-burner induction cooktops. This cooktop can deliver well over 70,000 BTU's of cooking power.
The Diva DDP-5. 37" wide, black OR white, 5-burner induction cooktops. This cooktop can deliver well over 95,000 BTU's of cooking power.
